Ray obtained his Master’s degree from the University of Southampton where he completed his research project within the Hecht group at the Humboldt University of Berlin. He went on to complete his PhD studies with the Beves group at the University of New South Wales, where he focused on developing visible-light addressable coordination cages.

Ray’s research interests include self-assembly, prebiotic chemistry, and out-of-equilibrium systems, among many other topics.
