Jonas obtained his master’s degree in biomedical chemistry from JGU Mainz, before pursuing a PhD at UNSW Sydney, developing enzyme-based nanoparticles and small molecular inhibitors of acetylcholine esterase under the mentorship of Dr. Peter Wich.
As a postdoc, Jonas will investigate self-replicating peptide nanocapsules and explore the world of prebiotic catalysis using his knowledge in organic- and biochemistry.
When not busy in the lab, he enjoys playing a round of soccer and an evening of board games with friends.
